Welcome to my Portfolio

This portfolio contains examples of the work I accomplished during my time at the University of Missouri. Each artifact contains examples of the diverse skills I have acquired as a Social Worker. These assignments will help you get a glimpse of some of the fields I am most passionate about and how I can make an impact in peoples lives. I am enthusiastic about applying my creative thinking, communication, positivity and teamwork skills to deliver social support and coordinated care to community members in need. I can liaise between clients and care providers, follow current reporting processes and utilize agency resources to meet individual requirements. On the left navigation panel you will see different section tabs that will take you to each of my Artifacts. The Philosophy Statement will cover where I was in my journey to become a Social Worker, where I am right now, and my future goals with my Masters degree in Social Work. My Resume contains information about my educational background,  job experiences, special skill sets, and a list of references. The Social, Economic, and Environmental Justice tab will bring you to an assignment I did about the racial injustice of African American in the criminal justice system and how to combat these issues. The Policy tab will take you to an article about a policy over Preventing Sex Trafficking and Strengthening Families Act and what can be done to protect youth who are at a high risk of being trafficked. The Research or Evaluation tab will bring you to an article about the Smoking Cessation Program at Burrell Behavioral Center and the effects it had on clients. The Clinical SW Practice tab will contain a fictional Case Summary about a client who has Persistent Depressive Disorder and what the identifying factors to look for when making a diagnosis. Lastly the Field tab will bring you to a fictional intake assessment that is used to gain a clients bio-psycho-social-spiritual history.
