The aligned course evidence I think demonstrates my understanding of competence 8 comes from Foundation Practice II. The intervention/implementation assignment that I did helped me to see how competence 8 is use in the social work in the academic sense but also showed me what areas of competence 8 I struggle with. The area I that I struggle with was how to critically choose and implement interventions to achieve practice goals and enhance capacities of clients and constituencies. This project was my first time ever doing a intervention and being able to bring together literature and research is not a strong point of mines but I am now aware how doing research is important for social workers through this competence as well as how to start implement interventions because of this assignment.
